How long after a BBL can you start having sex?

Usually waiting 3-4 weeks for solid healing is suggested, however consult with your surgeon for his/her recommendation. 

Hi Jameelajoie, Thank you for your question regarding having sex after BBL.  Always check with your own board certified plastic surgeon's post-operative instructions.  However, in general, after BBL, I suggest to my patients waiting 2 weeks before having sex.   BBL stands for Brazilian Buttock Lift.  BBL is a procedure where fat is suctioned  (liposuction) from one area of the body, typically the abdomen.  This procedure is also called autologous fat transfer or AFT.   Autologous means your own fat.  This liposuctioned fat is processed and washed with antibiotics.  The fat is then injected into the buttocks.  When the fat is transfer to the buttocks this is called a Brazilian Buttock Lift or BBL.  If you have any questions about autologous fat transfer or Brazilian Buttock Lift, please call my office.  Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

I recommend waiting 2-3 weeks after BBL to have sex. Follow your surgeon's post op instructions since each surgeon has a slightly different protocol.
