Blood work for BBL.

Question

When I schedule appoinment for blood work for BBL what type of blood work do I say I need? I don't want unnecessary test done as I don't have health insurance and it will be out of pocket ... pretty healthy no health issues .. thank you

In some patients who are young and healthy, bloodwork may not be particularly valuable.  In older patients with medical problems or history of medical problems, it is reasonable to obtain these results.

Have you found a board certified PS to do your surgery? Since you don't have health insurance, I would not obtain blood work until you find a PS and ask them what they want. Some do not require lab work. I ask for lab work on all of my patients.

You should ask your surgeon what he prefers. Each surgeon is different and it really depends upon your medical history as well.
