Is surgery the my only option? If so what surgery do I get?
Answer: Brow Brow asymmetry can be a complex and tricky subject. It can be related to history of facial nerve or eyelid weakness on one side, or differences in bony anatomy/size of the forehead between the two sides. Subtle lifting of the lateral aspect of brow with Botox can be helpful in treating small brow asymmetries. However, chasing brow asymmetry in general can be very difficult specially when a clear cause is not found and in those cases it can be related to dynamic differences of habitual use of facial muscles throughout the years. Such asymmetries which are usually subtle are a part of the character and animation of the face and also not very uncommon.

Answer: Facial Sculpting with Fillers | Brow Ptosis | Browlift | Upper Blepharoplasty | Eyelid Lift Hello and thank you for your question. A formal evaluation would be needed to determine the best treatment. There are both surgical and non-surgical options to correct this, depending on your exact situation. For less significant issues, there are nonsurgical treatments: To give the eyebrows a nice lift, we use injectable fillers to improve the eyebrow, upper eye, forehead and temple. A filler is placed on the bone and in the fat pads of these areas to contour and lift without it looking overdone. We use cannulas to limit pain and swelling. Surgery (browlift and/or upper blepharoplasty) is a great option for more significant improvement- for example if there is more substantial eyebrow drooping or asymmetry. I suggest getting a consultation with an experienced cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert, or an aesthetic facial plastic surgeon like Dr. Donald Groves; we are both located right here in Los Angeles. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Brow Lift Thank you for your question. At your age, botox may be a great solution because it is temporary and can provide you results quickly. A brow lift is a permanent procedure. To determine your candidacy for both, I suggest that you move forward and consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,

Answer: Uneven Brows Given your youth, you may want to try Botox first to give your eyebrows a little more even appearance. If you like the look, I'd recommend proceeding with an eyebrow lift, which will last longer and ultimately cost less, as Botox must be reinjected every three to four months to maintain results. If surgery is an option for you, at my center, we can perform a brow pexy or 1-mm brow lift under local anesthesia to give you a naturally alert and refreshed look. The procedure can be performed bilaterally or unilaterally which seems to be what you’re looking for. Local anesthesia means that you can be awake and help direct your final outcome by giving feedback on the look we are going for. Your first step is to find a board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can evaluate your brow droop and recommend the best corrective measure. I hope this helps!

Answer: My left eyebrow is higher than my right, what should I do? A common reason for eyebrow asymmetry is underling eyelid ptosis, so it is possible you have left upper eyelid ptosis, causing your left eyebrow to elevate to assist lift the droopy eyelid. See an oculoplastic surgeon for evaluation.

Answer: Eyebrows different heights It is impossible to say from the photo provided but my best thought is that you have a bony asymmetry with the left side of your face (forehead here) larger and more convex than the right. These asymmetries are common and not necessarily a problem. Most attractive people have some feature that isn't perfectly symmetric. This could be adjusted on the operating table but my experience is that over time when there is an underlying bony difference the soft tissue (skin and brow) tend to revert to their original position. You need to see someone if this bothers you to get an accurate diagnosis.
