Will a large forehead after an endoscopic brow lift look better after a couple of months? (photos)

Question

One thing I was not aware of before getting my surgery (which was a few days ago) was that my forehead would protrude and appear much larger. The surgeon pulled my skin too high, claiming that it would droop in 2 months. I'm very depressed now. 1. I was wondering if my scalp m would move back close to "normal". I'm unable to style my hair since it looks too sparse around the forehead area. 2. Will I be able to have my original eye shape, or would I have this altered eye shape? Thanks a lot.

I am sorry to hear that you are concerned. Fortunately you are early on and the brows and forehead do tend to see some descent as swelling and healing occurs. Share your concerns with your PS. I suspect you will hear the same thing. You are just at the beginning of all this and likely there will be changes.  If things do not settle enough hair transplants or frontal hairline advancement could be considered, but it is quite early to worry.Best wishes.

Please keep in mind that your eye shape and your forehead may seem larger because of the bruising and swelling that typically occurs immediately after surgery and lasts a few days. Since you are still in early stage after the surgery you can lower your eyebrows to some degree with gentle downward  massage after you discuss it with your surgeon. Once the healing is complete, should your eyebrows remain up your forehead could be moved down and your hairline could be shortened using a surgical technique that I have describe.

A patient's hairline is always elevated with an endoscopic brow lift. If a patient wants to maintain hairline position or lower it I always recommend the Trichophytic Hairline Incision we described many years ago. Having said that, the immediate post operative swelling does give the illusion of a larger forehead. If you're not satisfied after your swelling has resolved the hairline can be lowered.
