I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice.

It is not uncommon to have these symptoms after surgery it can also be your dressing, I usually tell my patients not to apply any ointments and I do not use tape on the incisions, but every surgeon has different post op care instructions continue to follow up with your PS.

The itching could be from the dressing especially if there is discharge underneath. Each surgeon has preferred way of doing dressing and you should consult with your surgeon regarding before changing or removing the dressing.

It is not uncommon to have the symptoms you describe and commonly associated with the mediations the dressings and the rubbing on the garment at this stage. As you have done it is best to contact your PS for advice.
