Hard sore lumps on my incision line. Have I damaged my results by laughing, coughing and sneezing?

Just remember that scars are initially bumpy and raised and red and flatten with time. It can take a year for the scars to mature and longer for scars to fade. Some patients prefer to wear their compression garment for many weeks to months because they feel more support with it on. It's normal to feel soreness and small bumps (most likely muscle tightening sutures) after an abdominoplasty. The internal and skin sutures are strong enough to withstand small strains caused by laughing coughing or sneezing particularly if you are wearing your pressure garment. It is advisable to wear your abdominal support at all times for the first 3 weeks at least and at least for 12 hours a day for the next 3 to 4 weeks. What is a complete no no is to start on any form of abdominal / chest exercises or lifting weights early on. Don't worry you seem to be on the right track.
