It is best to contact your doctor about post operative care and instructions since each doctor has a different regimen.There is nothing wrong with cutting your hair after your wounds have healed.

Hi Pete. I recommend to wait a month before using clippers to the recipient area. Of course your surgeon will have their own protocol, hope that helps.

Thank you for your question. Let me begin by saying that I would defer this question to your hair restoration surgeon. In our office, we instruct our patients to wait a minimum of two weeks. All scabs and crusts should be gone before using a clippers as well. Please contact your hair restoration surgeon to see what their protocol is.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

I would let my patients use clippers after at least a week has passed and all the scabs/crusts are gone.  Of course, you should check with your surgeon for his/her personal preference and follow those instructions.

It is best to wait a minimum of 7-10 days after your hair transplant procedure before you do anything to disturb the transplanted grafts. Waiting a full 2 weeks will guarantee that the electric clippers will not disturb anything.
