I have suffered from a very sparse beard my whole life, as did my father and his father! I would like to thicken up my goatee beard to make a dense round shape. I have attached a photo of my chin , please could you tell me if this realistic and if so how many grafts word this procedure need.

Photos cannot determine if you would be a good candidate for surgery.  You need an examination and the doctor needs to understand your exact goals and expectations.  Beard hair restoration is possible but you need to see a doctor to make sure it is right for you.

Thank you for your question and posting your picture. It is going to depend on the areas you want specifically filled in but I would estimate approximately 800-1200 follicles to achieve a result similar to that seen on my RealSelf profile page.I hope this was helpful - Dr. Moore.

Yes the results are realistic. Roughly 1000 hair(not grafts) will be required. Facial hair transplant is done with single hair grafts.

You must be over 25 before considering a beard transplant as you could still grow out your beard. It might take between 1009-2000 grafts depending upon how full you want it
