Can you use hair fibres after FUE transplant? 3 weeks post-op.

It’s been 3 weeks since I had my FUE transplant and my doctor said to wait 4 weeks. Is it still ok after that to use fibres? It won’t block the follicles from growing?

At five months it is very early to tell the final outcome of the procedure. From the photos, you have growth that is on par with 5 months time, but the final outcome is months away. You can follow up in 2-3 months and we can give a better indication of outcome

If the injury was severe enough to cause normal hair loss, you may have damaged your transplanted hairs as well.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  There is nothing bad about styling your hair.

Aggressive rubbing to the scalp should be avoided post hair transplant. Itch could be managed with baby oil applied to the scalp.

Over harvesting from FUE can be an issue and cause the patchy appearance.  It may also be due to shock hair loss.
