You should start out with maybe 1cc of JUVEDERM and go from there. You do not want to overdo too much filler in the lips. It also depends on the look you are going for too. You can always add more filler to the lips if needed. Just remember if you are going to do your lips and you do not want to bruise you should not take any aspirins or anything that will thin the blood since brusing can occur.
Hi @AZB. This is an excellent question. Galderma and Allergan brands are both Hyaluronic Acid based fillers. They are both great since they are reversible if you don't like the final results. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
the filler products made by companies here in the US do very well for lip injections. Best, Dr. Emer.
Hello AZB,Both products are good to use for the lips.Galderma makes Restylane which I love for use in the lips especially because it comes in a 0.5ml size.Allergan makes Juvederm, another fabulous product for lips and perioral fill. Both products are hyaluronic acid, a compound that is native to human bodies. Hyaluronic acid loves water and hydrates/plumps up nicely. Also hyaluronic acid injections are reversible unlike other fillers.See an experienced injector for the best results.Good luck,Dr. Shah
Both products are safe and FDA approved for use in the lips. Even before approval, most docs were using in the lips. Expect about 4 month duration. I like Restylane Silk (Fine Lines) in the lips, see link.
Hyaluronic acid products such as Restylane Silk and Juvederm are safe lip enhancing products when administered by experienced physicains.
Its not really common to get chapped lips after fillers but it is best to moisturize regardless. Best, Dr. Emer.
This can be improved with fillers and lasers. I suggest you see an expert for an evaluation and treatment options. Best, Dr. Emer.
