Does everyone who has FUE suffer shock loss?

I had fue but only started using finasteride a week after my op, now I'm worried I might have shock loss and if its irreversible

Why do very, very few hair transplant doctors offer the no shave FUE option (even when a small amount of grafts are harvested)?

FUE is a very technically challenging surgery.  It takes experience and sometimes special setup for long hair FUE.  Every case is different so you may want to meet with the doctor to ask these questions.Remember Long Hair FUE is only a harvesting technique.It has nothing to do with the end results.

If the grafts look like it is falling out of your scalp, then it would be an issue.  Contact your doctor with your concerns.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  Results vary from patient to patient. Results vary from doctor to doctor. That is why you have to pick the right doctor and be the right patient (with the right expectation).

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.  There should be no issues but it is always best to inform your doctor.
