Can you use Bepanthol lotion instead of gel to style your hair after a hair transplant?

I was given Bepanthol lotion after hair transplant and told to leave it for 30 min then wash it off. I was wondering, if I could leave it for a whole day to style my hair as I don’t want to use any gel because of bad experiences in the past. I must mention I have quiet oily scalp. Many thanks
