I recently had an FUE procedure and I'm on day 3. I've noticed that a few of the transplanted hair shafts were flat and as if they were stuck to the scalp. I showed them to the doctor and he said that this could happen but the follicles are firmly anchored inside. Is this true? Are the follicles still healthy and uble to produce hair in the future. Please find image attached below. I've circled on the hair shafts that appear to be flattened and stuck to the scalp. Thanks

If the grafts look like it is falling out of your scalp, then it would be an issue.  Contact your doctor with your concerns.

I would say that it looks fine from what I can tell from the picture. It is not uncommon to have the hairs themselves attached to the skin or in a scab. As long as the meaty part of the graft is implanted in the scalp, it is good.

If that is a graft sitting on your scalp whcih is not clear from the picture, I would expect that it is a lost graft. This is no uncommon.
