I have had Botox 3 times in the past but not had it for about a year until I got some 3 days ago. I had it injected in my forehead & frown lines. With my previous treatments I felt the areas begin to freeze almost instantly and could see dramatic difference within 2/3 days. It will be 4 days since I had it tomorrow and so far I see / feel no difference whatsoever! I consulted the doctor & they said wait 2 weeks, why is this? I'm on a vegan diet, does that affect it at all? As guess I am detoxing

Answer: Botox and Results -- Wait 2 weeks and see botox/dysport/xeomin take 2 weeks to see the full effect so have patience. If more dose is needed for increased results this can be done at 2 weeks. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Why can I see no difference after Botox treatment? = very likely low dose tx #fb #botox #wrinkles # Patients that have had excellent wrinkle reduction with Botox treatments in the past, but now (after a year of no treatment) have a not satisfactory result, very likely have increased requirement in the Botox dosage.Serial treatments with Botox weakens the treated muscles, thus giving an "instant-like freeze" when Botox given serially every 3 to 4 months. When patients stop treating for Botox for a long time ( e.g. a year) muscles tend to regain their normal strength. Therefore, when treating Botox again, the initial dose may not work this time. Therefore, patient may need a touch up several days after the initial treatment to determine the new final standard dose of Botox to achieve the desired result.
