Would Botox help for stretch marks/loose skin on abdomen?

Question

I have stretch marks and loose skin on my stomach from having my children. I am in good shape with no hanging skin while standing up straight but extreme wrinkling with any hunch of the stomach. I have been derma rolling with a 2.5 needle and the skin has definitely improved but if it's in any way possible I would like to decrease the amount of wrinkling I get in my stomach and further, if possible, fill out some of the deeper stretch marks. Would Botox injections possibly help this ?

Stretch Mark Treatment -- Eclipse Micropen, PRP, Sublative/Viva, Fraxel/Clear+BrilliantThere are many options for improvement but no "cure" for stretch marks.  If they are red, Vbeam or Excel V laser can help.  If they are older and stretched/white, then treatments/procedures such as microneedling, lasers or radiofrequency devices can help build collagen and give improvement. I suggest a cosmetic dermatologist with experience in the treatment of scars and who is an expert in lasers and fillers.  Best, Dr. Emer.

The action of Botox is at the junction between the nerve and the muscle. It has little effect on the skin and may act to make your stretch marks even wider and your skin less elastic. Contact a board-certified plastic surgeon who specializes in abdominal surgery and skin care for all of the options available to you.

No - unfortunately it won't. What can help are collagen builders like strong topical medications and lasers like MIXTO fractional CO2 laser.  Surgery is another option.

Botox improves those wrinkles that are caused by the contraction of muscles that are directly tethered to the skin.  Some of the more common areas that Botox is used are the lateral canthus (crow's feet), glabella (frown lines), DAO's (down turned corner of the mouth), and platysmal bands (vertical bands in the neck).  Botox won't have any effect on the stretch marks to your abdomen as stretch marks are due to thinning of the dermis, not contraction of underlying muscle.

No. Botox will not help as it is for muscles and this is not what you have issue with. While derma rolling can help the upper skin layers something like InMode Fractora can penetrate RF into the skin which helps tighten the skin and help resurface too for stretch marks.
