I am 5 days post op, feel fine, not much pain I'm back at work now and I really want to get back to the gym, sauna and sunbed, can I resume this if I feel like I can ?
Answer: Vaser Liposuction Thanks for the question. After 6-8 weeks your surgery area is healed and yes you can go gym and also do other sport activities. I wish you all the best.

Answer: Liposuction and Gym I typically have patients wait 10-14 days, usually longer for VASER, but some patients go back earlier. If you feel no pain during the exercise, then take it easy and start. I suggest asking your physician his/her official recommendation. Tanning isn't a good idea ever, increases the risk of skin cancer. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Little exercise only. After having done the Liposuction 360, which is what we p5erform here at White Pearl, we recommend that you maintain a little exercise everyday, between 15-20 mins.

Answer: Post-op recovery I had to go back and find out in your previous posting that you had Vaser lipo done as it was not mentioned in your question. Its too early to go back to the gym or sauna. You can resume after 3 weeks. You can never resume sunbed without risking skin cancer. No physician will ever condone your subbed use.

Answer: Recovery, sauna use, exercise and sun beds I typically encourage my patients to get back to normal daily activities as soon as possible after liposuction. Most patients tolerate moderate activity and low-impact exercise within a week of the procedure. High-impact exercise, such as running, typically takes two to three weeks.I usually recommend not engaging in any activity that causes discomfort after surgery. In general, it's best to follow your plastic surgeon's recommendations. I would not personally have a problem with someone using a sauna five days after liposuction. Sun bathing has the potential of causing increased inflammation in the small incisions made from liposuction. This can potentially prolong the healing process and cause temporarily redness. Be careful with exposure to ultraviolet light, whether it's from tanning beds or sunlight. Ultraviolet light is the number one cause of skin cancer and premature facial aging.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
