Do I need an uplift with implants, or are implants enough to fill out? (Photo)

feel is most likely to give you
the best results. Look at reviews and before and after pictures on that

Thanks for your inquiry.  If the nipples are near the bottom of the breast mound, implants along may not provide enough of a lifting appearance to satisfy most patients.  I have had the infrequent patient who absolutely does not want breast lift scars and they have been happy with implants along, but the majority have requested a mastopexy to improve the nipple position.

Thanks for your question and photo.  From what I can see on your pictures, you would likely do best with a combined augmentation and lift.   Your breasts sit low on your chest and your nipples/areolas are on the lower part of your breast.  An implant alone would likely leave you with a "snoopy breast" (under the muscle) or a "rock in a sock" (over the muscle), neither of which is a good look, or desirable by most woman.  A lift would allow your surgeon optimal control over the shape of the breast and nipple/areola position.  Good luck.

Based on your picture, you definitely need to have a breast lift. Placing implants alone will not only NOT give you an uplift, it will actually make your nipples look even lower. The purpose of the implant is to make the breasts larger and to fill the flattened upper pole, whereas the purpose of the breast lift is to place your breast tissue and nipple in the proper position. Implants alone would fill your upper pole, but with no lift your breast tissue and nipple would appear to "hang" off the implant.

If the nipple is lower then the breast fold then a lift is indicated. On rare occasion this is wrong so a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon is a great place to start. Good luck and kepp us updted.

....I agree with the other doctor.  I think that you would be served well with a lift.  Trying to get "uplift" from an implant is asking for problems.  The idea that going bigger will fill things out and lift the tissue is fraught with disaster and potential complications.  Of course, all this is without examining you and going off one picture.  Best advice- go get a couple person-person consultations and choose the surgeon that gets the best results.

From the photo you posted, it does appear that you would benefit from a breast lift. Implants alone with fill out the upper portion of the breast, and increase the size, but nipple position will remain the same. If nipple placement is a concern for you, and you would like to lift the position as well as fill out the breast the best way to do so would be a breast lift with augmentation.
