8 days post Juvederm, my lips are plump in the mornings and then seem to deflate by 2pm. Should this be happening? (Photo)

Juvederm can cause a fluctuation in swelling over time.  This usually improves by 3-6 weeks after injection.  If it doesn't, you should consider more filler or have it reversed and doing another type of HA filler like restylane silk or perlane.  Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question. You are still experiencing swelling which is more noticeable in the morning as you are laying flat through the night.  This subsides throughout the day as gravity helps to diminish the swelling.  If you like the look in the morning, then more product may be needed to get the look you want.

When you are recumbent, the venous and lymphatic pressure in your head and neck are a little higher than when you are standing, so any tendency for fluid retention in the connective tissues will be more significant. As you walk around, excess fluid tends to drain away.Your lips look beautiful in the picture you show at night, but if you really want more volume, you may.wish to have more Juvederm Ultra or Beletero added.All the best,Dr. Clark
