I had Juvederm injected in my top lip to add a bit of volume. Now 8 days after treatment my bruising has gone and in the mornings my lips are more plump (i'm guessing this is swelling still) and then by 2pm they seem to be nearly the same as before i got the treatment. Is this normal and should i consider more filler to get the result I want? The picture below shows morning and afternoon shot.

Answer: This is normal Yes, this appears to be a very normal reaction. The morning swelling should subside and about 2-3 weeks and then you can see where your final result lies. If it is not enough for your liking, then you may opt to get more, but I would definitely wait a good 3-4 weeks before making that decision.

Answer: LIp Swelling This type of swelling is very common within the first few days after lip injections but usually settles down. 8 days is more than the average but can occur. Swelling in the morning is very common and the result of lying flat at night and is more pronounced after surgery or treatments. As the day goes on the swelling tends to subside. With time a baseline should occur such that your lips remain fairly even throughout the course of the day. At that point you can more accurately assess wither additional filler might be needed to achieve the look you wantAll the BestDrG
