15 weeks post FUE but no shedding or shock loss yet, is this normal? (Photo)

Question

I had FUE transplant in Istanbul on 7th Feb with 4000 FUE. All is well so far and I'm happy with growth at 15 weeks which seems far better than expected at this stage. However I don't believe I've seen any shock loss shedding of the hair since the FUE. I have checked the shower while washing and rubbing the head over white paper to see if any is falling out but no loss is visible Is this normal, or do some people not experience any shedding at all? Or perhaps it is still to happen? Any ideas?

Thank you for your question. You should experience shedding at the 3-4 month post op mark. You are nearing that timeline. I suggest that you consult with your board certified facial plastic surgeon for more information and a potential in-person examination.Best wishes,

It is normal to lose transplanted hairs weeks after surgery.  If it is taking longer, then that may be normal as well.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.

there is no need to hesitate about .Sometimes it happens and very low number of hair shed off after transpalntation that patient cannot realize and you are one of them. Regrowing hair will increase in number

Usually the transplanted hair falls off and then starts to grow in gradually after three to four months. Occasionally some of the hairs won't fall off and continues to grow.

From what you are saying, you really do not have any questions. The reality that you do not have shock loss and everything is going normal is good.
