Should I pinch my nose after non-surgical rhinoplasty?

Doctor told me to pinch my nose softly as much as possible during the first two days after the procedure. How often? Is it really necessary?

In general it is very important to follow your doctors advice. Without an exam before and after your injections, knowing the type and amount and where the filler was used I cannot give a useful opinion in your specific case.

Thank you for your question about non surgical nose job, also called liquid rhinoplasty.Obviously, you will want to follow your doctor's instructions.I discourage my patients from pinching or compressing the nose very much, because too much manipulation will cause it to flatten out.I hope this helps.

I tell my patients to avoid manipulation of the area after filler is placed.  This prevents migration of the product and allows its integration into the tissue.  Best, Dr. Emer.
