Do muscle relaxers help accelerate dropping of implants post op? (photos)

Many surgeons use muscle relaxants after breast implants to tell with the pain or loosen the muscle.  I wouldn't use them any more in your case.  The dropping if the implants really is just a matter of time and it us common for one implant to drop faster.

As you mention yes it is normal for the implants to settle at different times - they almost always do. The use of muscle relaxants to aid in implant dropping is at the discretion or preference of the surgeon. I recomend my patients take muscle relaxants if they have muscle related pain. Thank you for your question and photos.I stopped using muscle relaxers 15 years ago because I didn't see any improved long term results. The patients, in the short term seemed to be "over medicated" and took longer to recover. In the long term I did not see any improved or shortened "postioning or seating" of the breast implants.I assume by your question that your surgeon placed the implants under the pectoralis muscle. If not muscle relaxers will have no effect. Basically, if your implants are under the muscle it will take 2-3 months for them to stretch and conform to the implant. Translation= you will look good in a bra or bathing suit immediately but to achieve the look you desire will ("seating/positioning" of the implant) take time.If you chose a reputable and experienced Bd. Cert. Plastic Surgeon, I am sure they will convey their personal approach and offer you options to enhance the result you desire.My best wishes,
