I'm a medical student thinking about getting a breast augmentation. Do you see many physicians as patients? As a physician or plastic surgeon would YOU get a breast augmentation given the risks and benefits? I realize this is a very generalized question but I know that for those who see breast augmentation patients and their complications on a regular basis plastic surgeons probably have a lot more insight than someone depending on the Internet and research studies to make the decision.

Answer: Breast augmentation Absolutely I would have a breast augmentation if I needed one. I have performed this surgery on many med students and physicians and some of my closest girl friends. The current 5th generation implants are well studied and have proven to be a very safe medical device.
