Thanks for your question . Start with a good skin care regimen that is as simple as ABC:Everyone should be using a vitamin A in a retinol. When you start out, these can irritate your skin. Start out twice a week, at night. Gradually add more nights per week and try to get to every night. If your skin becomes irritated, back off a little. Retinol or Vitamin A is deactivated by the sun.Use a good quality Broad spectrum sun screen every day. Makeup with sun screen usually isn't enough. We really like the EltaMD line of sun screen products. They are excellent quality and affordable.A vitamin C Serum helps boost collagen production to help fill in lines and wrinkles. You can use them day and night in your routine.Over the counter or department store brands may have active ingredients, but usually don't have a delivery system to get it into the skin. They are mostly filler and perfumes. Look for something like PCA (Physicians Choice Alliance) Skin at a physician's office near you. PCA recently had a ABC kit available for only $200. You won't break the bank and you will find products that actually work. After you start with the basics, you might need an occasional chemical peel or light laser resurfacing to keep your skin turning over and looking healthy. Best of luck.
A chemical peel may be a good first start but good skin care products are needed for you. I use a suite of medical grade skin care products starting with a good glycolic cleanser, then a vitamin-C serum, followed by a moisturizer, then sun-block twice daily (SPF 35+). This combination should help a lot in a few weeks of use.
Seeing and examining your skin will be helpful to a true customized approach.Peels, Hydrafacial MD, microneedling with PRP, and good skin products will all be good tools.Best. Dr Brecht
You MUST be seen in person to determine if you are having a burn issue. Either Derm or PS can help. Or if getting worse go to ER.
