This can be an issue for many patients. Finding a comfortable position through the night can be problematic. Sleeping aids are occasionally used and should be discussed with your surgeon.

Many of my patients find that sleeping in a recliner for some days post-op helps a lot.  Also, are you on muscle relaxants? They can make one drowsy so they may also help at night.  Finally, there are sleeping pills, Ambien (Zolpidem) for example.  It is mnot unusual for abdominoplasty patients to be on some kind of sleep medication for a short time post-op.  Glad you are happy with your result.
