After couple days of my breast augmentation I found a fold poking out the breast bottom beside the incision and you can see it and feel it. After 6 weeks now I still see and feel it but it got softer a little bit. Note : my results just perfect and this is the only problem I have.
Answer: Silicone implant with fold in the corner? Also I have pain around the fold. Could the pain be the fold or the incision? I am sorry to hear about the problem you are experiencing. Always best to follow up with your plastic surgeon for accurate assessment and advice. Having said that, your description sounds consistent an area of significant breast implant palpability; sometimes if a breast implant is very close to the surface, discomfort can be a symptom. Revisionary breast surgery may be an option. In my practice, I have found the use of acellular dermal matrix very helpful when it comes to treating a variety of different types of breast implant displacement and/or breast implant rippling/palpability cases. Acellular dermal matrix (ADM) is a biological implant carries the ability to become integrated into native tissue. It is made by taking a full thickness section of skin from a donor source (human cadaver, porcine, or bovine in origin). Again, ADM can be helpful in improving contour for significant irregularities after breast surgery. You may find the attached link helpful to you as you learn more. Best wishes

Answer: Pain in the incision area and I also feel a fold, is this normal? Thanks so much for your question. It sounds like everything went really well with your surgery other than this one issue. It's likely secondary to the tissue being fairly thin in that one area. I would give things some time. It could soften and hopefully not become much of an issue. If it still bothers you after a number of months it might be a fairly simple matter of revising the external scar to "thicken" the area so you no longer feel the fold that you are describing. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Answer: Fold after BA Thank you for your question. Without seeing picture hard to comment. It may be from implant or previous breast crease. Please see your PS for evaluation.

Answer: Fold of implant after breast augmentation The bump you feel is almost certainly a fold in the implant. It is OK to push in the area and move the implant around a bit. This should resolve the fold in most cases. These folds can be painful, but not permanently. All the best,Talmage Raine MD
