I'm 18 weeks post tummy tuck, lipo and muscle repair, will I need a revision to fix the bumps?

Dear Anon246,Thank you for your question.  It is unfortunate that you're having this problem.  In general 18 weeks ( 41/2 mos) is a bit early to consider results final.  I agree that some external modalities like Velashape or Sculpsure may help but I would give things a full 8- 9 months.  I personally doubt that your choice of clothing cause these irregularities; talk to your surgeon again & compare things as they are now to your pre-op photos.Good luckJames Sheridna, MD

It is a little too early to tell if you will need a revision.  Consistent massaging of the area may help reduce and smooth out those bumps.  You may also want to consider some non-invasive procedures such VelaShape. 

It is difficult to know what caused the bumps.  Some possible causes are quilting sutures from a no-drain technique, overaggressive liposuction, or bunching from excess skin.  Only the operating surgeon can let you know that.  Most of this should resolve at 3-4 months, but may take up to a year to resolve. I would encourage continued communication with your surgeon.
