I got 350cc saline high profile submuscular breast implants with a crease incision. I lifted a backpack and went walking for a few miles at day 8 post op. I did not know that I could not exercise or lift heavy weights until 3 weeks post op. What will be the consequence of this? Did I do long term damage?

Answer: Exercise after breast implants I have my patients wait about 6 weeks before doing any heavy lifting after an augmentation. Light exercise is ok after 1-2 weeks.

Answer: Exercise after Breast Augmentation The main concern with exercise too soon after surgery is the risk of a hematoma (bleeding). If you do not see or feel a difference in your breasts (pain, rapid swelling of one or both breasts) you likely did not do any harm. I would advise waiting to exercise again until your plastic surgeon gives you clearance. Of course, if you do experience any changes in your implant or pain, call your surgeon immediately.
