Lift not necessary? Implant size okay? (photos)

Yes, some patients will have a better shape such as increased superior fullness if an implant is used with a lift or what we call Augmentation Mastopexy (breast lift with Implants). The surgery will create an elevated, more youthful breast contour and can create desired size and height for the nipple and areolae. It is usually preferred to do both in one stage or surgery. However, a number of plastic surgeons prefer two operations. For example, the Breast Lift followed by a separate surgery for the implants, usually staged apart at a minimum of 2-3 months to allow swelling to subside and healing to reach a reasonable point.
You may get a second opinion from other board-certified surgeons that are willing to do the procedure that you prefer but still discuss realistic options and expectations. Best of luck! #RealSelf100

You have a long breast fold that will continue to stretch out over time with an implant alone. Your nipple position is not too low.  You have excess skin from weight loss, pregnancy, and breast feeding plus a bit from your age.  because of these factors,  a larger implant will be needed to fill that loose skin which will tend to stretch sooner than later.  I don't think an implant is a bad idea, especially if you want to avoid the scarring of a lift and don't mind being bigger.  But if it's all about the shape and lifting the breast, a lift is a better option.

Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, you do have "pseudoptosis" of the bottom of the breasts. This might persist after your augmentation only. I would do an augmentation first, and later if a lift is needed, can be done to improve the shape of the breasts. Ideal implants are superior to regular saline implants, I use them in my practice. 440cc implants plus the breast tissue that you already have will put you in the range of D-DD plus size. I do not have the nipple to sternal measurement. If it is over 24 cm I think a lift might be needed especially on the left. I have just the pictures to go by, but I would say implants alone may not correct the droop and you could have  a waterfall or snoopy dog deformity. If concerned get a second opinion before the surgery. I tend to like the shaped textured implants for this type of droop which sometimes helps avoid a lift.

Dear JulzburgessThanks for your question and photos.  Based on photos, you have pseudoptosis of breasts and will likely not require breast lift.  In regards to implant size, it will depend on your anatomy (chest width, chest height, existing breast tissue) and your desired goal.  I assume that your plastic surgeon has examined and performed chest measurement and talked with you to understand your desire. Just make sure that your desire for "fuller boobs" will be achieved by his/her recommended size.Best wishes.

Thanks for your question. You will be very happy with the IDEAL Implant. I think you could likely do just fine without the lift for right now. It's always hard to tell exactly what the nipple position will do after implant surgery, but you will not have burned any bridges and could always add a breast lift (mastopexy) later if you wished. The one thing in your case about doing the lift is that I'd bed a majority of the "birthmark" on your right breast could be removed. Best wishes
