Is it possible that lipomas can be absorbed by the body healing itself?

I have a very painful lipoma on my wrist/hand. Does it ever just disappear?

Never heard of this. If the lipoma is subcutaneous and is pressing on a nerve, it can be removed. It is not actually in the nerve or part of the nerve fiber. There are Schwannomsas that do involve the nerve itself. Sounds like this is not that. So going to a good plastic surgeon, hand surgeon,...

A lipoma that was removed grew back in the same spot. Why did it grow back? What can I do? How can I stop it from growing back?

Thank you for your question and I am sorry to hear of your lipoma recurrence.  Lipomas that are removed in their entirety tend not to return, but new ones can develop over time.  If some of the original lipoma was left, these remaining cells can also begin to grow into a new lipoma....

How long does a lipoma on the forehead take to heal after removal?

Thank you for your question.  Much of this will depend on the size of the lipoma and the location of the incision to remove it.  Because of its rich blood supply the face and forehead tend to heal very quickly and you should be able to wear a helmet by two weeks after surgery....

Thanks for your question.  As you may be aware, lipomas are benign fatty soft tissue tumors.  As they do not interfere with joints, muscles, or bone, they should have no influence on function or activity.  Enjoy the gym and good luck with your fitness regimen!
