I have a bruise-like pain under right breast 4 years after silicone breast implants, under muscle. Any ideas?

I had silicone breast implants (under the muscle) 4 years ago. About 6 months ago every time I would sneeze or cough really hard my muscle would contract. Now I have pain right under my breast to the lower inner quadrant. It feels like a bruise. It is constant for about 3 months and hurts worse when I wear a bra. The shape has not changed and I cannot feel any difference. Any idea?

I see no reason to avoid caffeine 10 days after your breast augmentation. I would explain to your plastic surgeon that you would really enjoy it. I'm sure he or she would be more than happy to let you proceed. Enjoy!

Hello and thank you for your question.  A narcotic pain medication is given, usually percocet or norco, valium to relax the pec muscle, an antibiotic for one week, and an anti-nausea drug .

The inframammary scar can look like this at one year after surgery.   This is why we use an armpit incision.  There is nothing that can be done to improve this situation.
