I had nose surgery 2 mos. ago and experienced complications. Post surgery I was on prednisone, amoxicillin, bactroban, and vicadin). I developed CDiff and finished a round of metronidazole. I no longer have it, but being testing for Celiac. I am 3 months post surgery and about 5 weeks out I developed burning sensations all over my face (forehead, on top of head, back of head, nose, above lips, cheeks, and scalp). What could this be and how can I treat it?

Your nose is large and can be reduced with rhinoplasty surgery to remove the hump, refine your tip, and lift your hanging columella. You should also consider a small chin implant which will improve balance and make your nose look relatively smaller.
Most offices have access to "nursing" services that can provide aids to drive you and stay with you the night of your procedure. Most are reasonably priced compared to aftercare facilities. Discuss this with your surgeon to get a trusted referral.Jon A Perlman M.D., FACSDiplomate,...
If your nose is red, tender, and swollen, it does sound like you might have an infection. You will need to be seen in person to evaluate you properly. Go see your surgeon.
