Leftover accutane capsules. Should I finish the course?

Hello I was prescribed a 6 month course of accutane but I only finished a 4 And a half months worth of capsules by the end of course. This has left me with a month and a halfs supply. Is it pointless to take the remainder of the capsules a month after my course has ended or is it ok to finish the capsules?

If you did not complete your original regimen you should not be surprised if you have acne later on, or need another round of Accutane. For Accutane to be effective you must take all the medicine as prescribed. Should you take them now? It won't hurt but it also won't be as effective as if you had completed your original, prescribed regimen. "This answer has been solicited without seeing this patient and cannot
