It is hard to be patient.  We accept that a cut on the arm takes many months, even up to a year or more to fully heal.  It is the same for eyelid surgery but for some reason we expect everything to be perfect in 2 weeks.  The redness will dissipate but this will take many months to fully resolve.

I usually counsel my surgical patients that it can take 3 months for the redness of a facial scar to even begin to fade. Eyelid incision do usually heal a little faster because the skin is so thin, but you are still very early at three weeks postoperative.  Try to be patient and wait and know that most of the time even asymmetries that seem large in the beginning typically fade to unnoticeable in the long run.  Good luck!

Your creases do look a little uneven, but you are still early in the healing phase.  Often a scar can look uneven, but as it heals, it fades and with the eyes open you will never notice it.   

Nobody other than your own surgeon can answer that question.  He is the only one who knows how you started and what was done.

Any incision on the body takes time to heal.  That healing process is typified by:1.  Redness2.  Swelling3. Followed by resolution and scar maturationThis process occurs with any incision on the body, but at different rates.  I agree with the prior surgeon that 3 weeks is a little short to expect the process of healing to be complete.  The good news is that blepharospasm incisions typically heal much faster than breast or tummy tuck incision.  I know it is difficult to be patient.  However, there is a high probability that the redness and irregular contour will completely subside in the next few weeks.  I feel that a follow-up at about 8 weeks after surgery is a good point to reevaluate your results and check to make sure that your healing is going according to schedule.

It is way too early to be alarmed. At three weeks, there is still swelling, redness and it is impossible to tell what the final result is going to be. The skin over the eyelid is the thinnest of the entire body, so it can stretch just with the injections to numb the eyelid. It takes time for the swelling to go down and the scars should end up in the crease so that they are not visible when you open your eyelids. It's so hard to be patient!
