I don't remember it being this bad as a child, but I have been noticing it for quite a few years now. The left side looks fine, but the right is so different. I have also had my wisdom teeth starting to bother me for a while (also a few years), though I can't remember whether it started at around the same time. I also have an overbite. It would be nice to know what the cause is and how to fix it. Thank you.
Answer: Uneven lips Hello. Thanks for the question and photos. You have a minimal difference between the right and left sides of your upper lip, but remember that the human body is not symmetrical at all. I don't see any aesthetical problem with your lips. Anyway, you could have a lip augmentation to add volume and to make it more symmetrical. I would suggest Hyaluronic Acid filler. Visit a board-certified doctor in your area to an in-person exam. Good Luck!

Answer: What could cause my lips to be very uneven lips while resting and also when I smile Thank you for sharing your excellent question and photographs. It is very common to have some asymmetry in the lips and yours appears subtle. If you would like to make an improvement, you could pursue careful placement of a dermal filler to help balance the subtle volume differences at rest which should improve some of the balance while animating. Hope this helps

Answer: Lip asymmetry Dear Lea114, I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months. Daniel Barrett, MD

Answer: Lip filler treatment Thanks for sharing your question and photos. A small amount of filler could help improve the asymmetry at rest and possibly with animation as well.

You have to understand that photos are two dimensional while and in person face to face evaluation is three dimensional. You have to think in layers, Skin, fat, muscle, mucosal lining of the lip, teeth and finally the upper jaw, the maxilla.
