Okay so I have fairly full lips, however, they are very small in width and the upper lip looks puffy with no defined cupid’s now. What kind of surgery would be recommended? I want a more defined cupid’s bow and somehow, make my lips look wider? I know it’s not possible but what could create that illusion?

Answer: Reduction of upper lip Based on these photos, and short of in person evaluation, it is my impression tat reduction of upper lip and shaping of lower portion of upper lip may give you desired improvement. I would not recommend correction of Cupid's bow and scars along lip/skin junction since they may be unpredictable. In person evaluation is recommended. Good luck.

Answer: Lip asymmetry Dear MimiDulce, I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns. I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months. Daniel Barrett, MD
