Smoking marijuana 2 weeks post BA, advice?

Question

Two weeks ago I got a bilateral breast augmentation.. i’m having trouble sleeping and I’m no longer taking the pain meds because they have made me too drowsy. Ive smoked marijuana in the past to relieve stress and help me sleep, will smoking marijuana affect my recovery at all?

two weeks after your surgery you should be ok.  If this is how you self medicate, clear it first with your surgeon, however ...

Greetings ! There is no clinical or scientific evidence in how marijuana use can affect the outcome in breast augmentation or any other aesthetic surgery... Obviously the components of cigarettes and marijuana are different and may have a different impact in the surgical scenario. And for 2 week post op I think it's safe since the wounds have already healed and sealed. Hope this helps !

While there's no obvious detrimental effect of marijuana on wound healing, it would be best to ask your surgeon as he/she may have a particular opinion about this and want to know beforehand.  Congratulations on your recent surgery.
