Surgical tape burn. What can I do to speed up healing? (Photo)

I had a breast augmentation 5 weeks ago. Been using surgical tape to cover a small area underneath (spitting sutures) when I removed the tape it took skin with it! Blisters. Oozing but doesn’t hurt isn’t hot. I’m already on Cipro antibiotics as a prevention for another issue and I disinfect and put bacitracin 3x a day. It doesn’t seem to be getting better! Not painful just ugly. What can help speed up healing? I’m afraid it will get infected :(

Greetings, you have adressed a very common problem with the use of surgical tapes (glue burning). I advice my patient to change them daily, remove them by soaking them with wather when they shower first. Once burning has occurred I usually use neosporin and let it heal by it self. It's a self limited chemical burning. Hope this helps !!!

Use of RX silvadene cream or Aquifer ointment can help. If truly not healing I would than try PRP infusion therapy (fee $500 per session). Best to F/U with your operative surgeon on Monday..
