Thank you for your question! Garment size is based on measurements taken prior to an immediately post surgery. It is hard to recommend a certain size before surgery because it is dependent on what procedure you are having and the amount of skin and fat removed. I hope this helps!
Thank you for the question. Congrats on your decision to proceed with TT and BBL. It is best to discuss with your board certified plastic surgeon for which garment is appropriate for you. Good luck.
I appreciate your question. There are several options available for patients which combined tummy tuck and BBL. I suggest you speak with your plastic surgeon - they should be able to offer you similar options.Good luck. Dr. ALDO
In general, a well-fitting compression garment must be worn 24 hours a day 7 days a week for 4 to 6 weeks following surgery. Our office provides our TT/lipo patients with an adjustable compression garment. The patients like the support it provides to the back and to the abdomen. The only complaint I have heard is related to the "itchiness" of the fabric which can be remedied by wearing a soft t-shirt under the garment. Because each PS will have his/her own post-operative protocols, it is best to ask your PS which compression garment and size is recommended for you.Kenneth Hughes, MD, Board Certified Plastic SurgeonLos Angeles, CA
Dear almakgomez, every plastic surgeon has his own postoperative protocol which he recommends to his patients. I would suggest you to discuss this with your plastic surgeon.Daniel Barrett, MD, MHA, MS Certified, American Board of Plastic Surgery Member, Am. Society of Plastic Surgery
HI. The plastic surgeon is the one to decide what size the girdle (la faja) should be, when he finishes the surgery. The compression garment will help to limit edema. I recomend its use for the 1rts. 24 hours after usrgery, uninterrupted, and then for 6 weeks only by the day, taking it off at night for sleep.International Member of the American Society of Plastic SurgeonsMember of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic SurgeonsCertified Plastic Surgeon with 25 years of experience
Your surgeon should measure you and help you find the right garment for post BBL and tummy tuck. Proper fit does matter with these procedures. Make sure you have a good post surgery recovery plan in place, since doing these at the same time can be a challenge in terms of getting into a comfortable, safe position that is compatible with buttocks and tummy recovery.
Best to ask your plastic surgeon about the garments postop. Each PS will recommend different garments. It needs to fit, be comfortable and provide compression.
Once you have chosen a surgeon, it is very important that you closely follow his instructions and postoperative regimen, not that of a doctor on the internet. Call the surgeon's office and they will be more than happy to answer questions of this type.
