Seroma after BBL. How many times should I get it aspirated?

Is the seroma in the buttocks where the fat was placed or in the areas of liposuction? In either case, this is highly uncommon. Seroma in the grafted area tells me that the technique of fat grafting was less than optimal. I have never seen this in all the years I have been doing Brazilian Buttock Lifts. You do not state how far you are out from surgery. I would recommend compression garment and limited physical activity. Stay close to your plastic surgeon, since he/she knows best what was done and treat your condition. Good luck.

  Ideally a Sarama should be aspirated as often as possible.Ideally at least once a day.  it's a good idea to culture the fluid to make sure there's no bacteria growing in it.If there is bacteria then a different treatment options may be more appropriate. Contaminated fluid can make a seroma persist for a very long time. When does space that's filling up with fluid is not empty than the surfaces cannot be in contact with each other and the space will not close.  The more often you have it drained the better off you'll be. continue following up with your plastic surgeon.Best,Mats Hagstrom M.D.

Seromas after BBL are uncommon but do occur in the best of hands. They can be hard to deal with, surgically. Their management entails patience and working closely with your surgeon. Multiple aspirations are attempted first. If this does not work, then placing a drain or surgical obliteration of the cavity are tried as an alternative. If the amount aspirated every time is less and less, then this is encouraging.   It is a sign that this method seems to be working and I will consider continuing with it for now until no more drainage. I recommend sharing your concerns with your surgeon. I assume he has a plan B, should repeated aspiration does not work.
