The answer depends. If you have significant swelling at the base of the nose, you need to wait until that subsides before pursuing dermal filler treatment. Even if there is not much swelling, I would likely recommend waiting at least another three weeks before moving forward with your injections. However, it is best to have the dermatologist who will be performing the procedure give you a recommendation based on an in-person assessment of your recovery process. Make sure your doctor is board-certified with expertise in lip fillers so you achieve an optimal outcome.
Thank you for sharing your question. If you are not swollen in the area around you lips, then it is fine to have fillers placed in you lips. Discuss the issue with your physician. Good luck!
Hi,Thank you for your question.Though the two areas are "separate," it's best to wait until majority of the swelling has resolved. Sometimes you may have bruising or swelling above the upper lip after rhinoplasty. It's not necessarily "unsafe" to get lip filler after rhinoplasty but depending on the extent of swelling/bruising, it might make evaluation of the lip and perioral area difficult. 3 weeks is probably the earliest you could proceed with lip fillers but I would recommend asking your plastic surgeon or ENT to be certain.Hope this helps!
Once the swelling and discomfort has subsided, you may get lip injections. I would highly recommend getting a formal evaluation with and treatment from a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and expert in facial sculpting. Technique is the key to a successful lip augmentation with fillers, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I use cannulas often in my practice for their many benefits. A cannula has a blunt end that limits bruising, swelling, and reduces the risk of complications. It also causes much less pain and results in minimal downtime. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
You will want to wait until the majority of your swelling from rhinoplasty has resolved. For many patients this will be at about 6 weeks. Check with your plastic surgeon just to be sure before having the filler treatment.
Hello and thank you for your question . It should be fine unless your upper lip is still swollen from the rhinoplasty . If that's the case , I would wait until 6 weeks post op.
I recommend waiting for any swelling post rhinoplasty to resolve before proceeding with lip fillers.
Hi, thank you for your question, the answer is yes, they are two different parts, it won't effect each other's effect.
Hi thereIt would be well advised to wait until all the swelling has completely subsided. Your qualified injector should be able to advise you correctly.Best of luck....
Hi @tamayooo! Tip swelling usually takes 1 year to fully resolve after a rhinoplasty. I recommend seeking treatments from expert injectors who have the skill and experience to precisely inject fillers into treatment areas and avoid risks and complications. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Hi @Chicago8894! Half a syringe is very minimal. I would start with 1 syringe on each cheek. 1 syringe is approximately the size of a blueberry. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
Thank you for sharing your good question. I personally am not fully convinced that either product make a big difference, but I offer it to my patients because it can't hurt. I would try both oral an gel form. It's more important to choose an experienced oculoplastic surgeon to achieve optimal...
