I am scheduled to receive Restylane injections at the end of this month for under my eyes. I plan on taking Arnica tablets prior to and through out the healing process. Should I also buy the gel form to apply directly?
Answer: Can Arnica gel in conjunction with oral Arnica help? Thank you for sharing your good question. I personally am not fully convinced that either product make a big difference, but I offer it to my patients because it can't hurt. I would try both oral an gel form. It's more important to choose an experienced oculoplastic surgeon to achieve optimal results in this sensitive area which is prone to complications when done incorrectly. Good luck!

Answer: Arnica Thank you for your question. Arnica is a great product to use to help reduce some bruising and swelling. I always recommend oral Arnica but adding the topical will only help benefit. More or less if you don't mind applying the topical then I would recommend doing it. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Arnica is not effective because in contains vitamin K. In fact, there is no evidence that Arnica is effective at all in reducing bruising. Most preparations of Arnica are based on homeopathic principles and contain so little Arnica that effectively they are devoid of Arnica. Don't waste your money on these products. If you want to get serious about reducing bruising associated with a filler service, avoid products and food that are known to cause bruising. This includes non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs like ibuprofen, and aspirin. Many other products and food also contribute to bruising. As an office, we actually review this information with our potential patients.
