Is Coolsculpting contraindicated for a 45 year old with a history of hypoglycemia, thyroid cancer and abdominal mesh?

Thyroid cancer 6 years ago, abdominal mesh to correct umbilical hernia and occasional bouts of hypoglycemia. Areas of interest are double chin, abdomen and bra "rolls."

Thank you for the question. It is difficult to answer your question without examining you. It is not a contraindication to undergo Coolsculpting treat with the conditions you mentioned. Yes, you may be able to have Coolsculpting, as long as the hernia has been repaired. Keep in mind, for best results, a combination approach with other non-invasive treatments is needed and some people need more than one treatment with Coolsculpting. I recommend adding radiofrequency treatments like Vanquish for skin tightening and with Z wave/Cellutone for skin smoothing. Your history is not contraindicated for Coolsculpting, provided the hernia has been repaired.  As long as there is a good grab and enough subcutaneous tissue to treat, you can be treated with CoolSculpting. The treatment would help rid of fat deposits under the chin and contour your jawline. Good question. A history of hypoglycemia or thyroid cancer are not contraindications to CoolSculpting. A repaired hernia that has healed correctly should also not preclude you from having CoolSculpting treatments.
