Sex after implant exchange, pocket revision, capsulrrhapy?

Had very passive(boring sex) for first two weeks to avoid hematoma.When is it ok to increase the intensity,still on back (no weight bearing positions)? Is there a concern about the implants jiggling,bouncing during thrusting from 2 to 6 weeks? He does not lay on them and the jiggle is minimized with sports bra but not entirely.More then riding in car with bumps in road but probably not as much as jogging.Can this loosen pockets or strain internal stitches? Would [RS bleep] or on top be ok 6wks?

Thank you for your very spirited question. You should ask your surgeon about restrictions for this. For my patients, I ask them to abstain from anything to raise the heart rate (sex) for about 2 weeks. After that, heart rate increases are ok, but I do advise any strenuous activity that leads to displacement or significant movement of the implant for 6-8 weeks while the scar tissue is healing on the inside around the implant. Better to be safe than sorry and just hold off if you can to make sure you get the best results. Even the best sex will not be worth having to undergo a revision.Hope this helps!

I think capsulorrhaphy is one of the more difficult procedures that we do. It's really a challenge to get an implant the stay uphill. For that reason I am pretty strict about my patients recovery. I have them wear the Victoria Secret knock out bra for six weeks 24/7. During that time no bouncing no hug no squeezing no jumping no smashing.   Then for the next six weeks it's the same activity restrictions  but they don't have to sleep in it.  So check with your doctor but just be very careful with this procedure. It is really easy to break a few stitches and be right back where you were!!!!

Thank you for asking a question that many patients don't ask, but is very important. You should avoid any activity that will raise your heart rate or make you break a sweat for a minimum of 2 weeks after surgery. Strenuous activity that involves weight bearing or rapid movements should be restricted for approximately 6 weeks following implant surgery. Check with your surgeon before advancing your activity.

I allow my patients to have intercourse 2-3 weeks after surgery. Keep in mind that you have to be very careful as the pocket does not have good scarring for about 6 weeks. You do not want to injure any pocket revision. Check with your surgeon to see what their time table is. This is just mine based on the procedure you have had.
