Can I get the dent under my nose removed after 12 months of primary rhinoplasty?

Usually, we recommend to wait 6 months before getting a revision surgery, so it’s totally feasible. Your columella can be fixed without affecting your nose. I’ve personally performed those revision surgeries and patients are really happy with the results.

Hi there! Thanks for your question. The crease in the upper lip often comes from a strong, caudal septal extension graft. When the smile muscles are activated, the lip reaches a firm stopping point from the cartilage and a crease develops. Trimming the graft / septum can be done. You're right that you need to be careful with causing disruption to the tip support which may create drooping later. If you're comfortable with your surgeon, ask what options are best for you. If not, visit with several others to see what can be done without performing a major revision rhinoplasty. Hope this helps!
