Why have multiple small crease lines appeared after upper eyelid surgery?

Question

Before the upper eyelid surgery I didn't have any small crease lines on my eyelids. After the surgery, however there are some small crease lines appear on both of my eyelids in addition to the incision. I saw my surgeon yesterday after two weeks of surgery and asked him why? He didn't have an answer for that. Any suggestions for what I can do or ask the surgeon do?

That is an upper eyelid surgery where the surgeon makes a very precise upper eyelid incision and then tightens the eyelid platform skin and muscle to the anterior levator aponeurosis.  This allows the skin and muscle of the upper eyelid to be smoothed out like a bed sheet.  Unfortunately only a tiny minority of surgeons offer anchor blepharoplasty. Do not ask your surgeon to perform this for you.  If they offered this very precise surgery, you would not need to post here.

Please provide pictures.  Also please allow enough time for swelling to improve.  I know this can be a tough time but you would be surprised how incisions and scars improve with time.

If you had Asian blepharoplasty, at two weeks you are healing still and not seeing your final results. Give yourself time to heal and then discuss these issues again with your surgeon if there is still no resolution.

Without knowing exactly what kind of eyelid surgery you had or seeing any photos it is difficult to answer your question.  Certainly I would say that being just 2 weeks out of surgery there is probably still quite a bit of swelling in the lids and the final result of any eyelid surgery usually takes several months to appear.
