Why does my lips get chapped right after lip filler?

Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  In most cases the dry lips occurs after the stretching of the lip tissues with the dermal filler and injections, as well as the manipulation of the lips with gauze during the treatment.  Keep up with your water intake and protect the lips with some form of moisturizer and steady improvement should be seen.  Hope this helps.

The reason people get chapped lips after lip augmentation is because the lips get largeer in size and the skin as well as mucosa covering the lips gets stretched. In some individuals the skin is more sensitive and this makes the skin crack and the lips become chapped.
