Why does my lips get chapped right after lip filler?

Try a lip hydrator like a SkinMedica HA5 product and consider using it prior to the procedure as well. Thank you for sharing your excellent question.  In most cases the dry lips occurs after the stretching of the lip tissues with the dermal filler and injections, as well as the manipulation of the lips with gauze during the treatment.  Keep up with your water intake and protect the lips with some form of moisturizer and steady improvement should be seen.  Hope this helps.

Thank you for your question. It is not uncommon to get chapped lips following filler. As the skin is stretched and manipulated during injection it can cause dryness. Keep a moisturizing lip balm handy and apply frequently as needed. Follow up with your injector to address your concern. Good luck!
