Butt implants for a male?

Question

This may be an odd question but I am a male interested in bottom augmentation. For years now I've wanted something different that stands out and have come to the conclusion that my bottom is extremely flat. Well after doing some research, I've haven't been able to find much on male bottom implants and the results I do see bring little change. If I have it done i want something larger. So I was wondering, can males get the same type and size of implants or procedure as females?

It would be hard to know if you can achieve this, but I think if you are flat you will not get there with implants alone.  Sometimes implants and fat grafting can get you to that goal.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Dear Peter,,   Butt implants size depends on measurements, desire and the elasticity of the skin. The picture thgat you show, reveals quite a sizeable butt. In my experience with butt implants surgery on men, the skin is not as elastic as with females. That means that you most likely will have to have 2 stage surgery in order to get the size in the picture. That will allow the skin to strech and accomodate larger implants. The only technique that will enable large implants is the sub fascial plane.The sub muscular or intra muscular planes allows only smaller implants.The biggest implants that I have inserted so far are 565cc, but larger sizes can be custom made. Check on my website the before and after  pictures for males and see if you like the size. Buttock augmentation is a very personal and individualized procedure.The amount of augmentation possible is related to the size of the buttock that we start with and the size of the implant that can be inserted.  There is a range of implant sizes available from approved manufacturers.Please keep in mind that the larger the implant the more difficult it is to insert; the larger the incision required and the greater chance that a post operative infection may occur.As such please consult in person with an experienced Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person prior to making any treatment decisions.
