It is difficult to predict what bra size you would be after a reduction in volume because all bras are not the same.
Thank you for the question and congratulations on your decision to proceed with breast reduction surgery; this operation tends to be one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. There is no direct correlation between the amount of tissue removed and the ultimate cup size that a patient will wear after breast reduction surgery. Before undergoing the breast reduction procedure it will be very important to communicate your size goals with your surgeon (who you should choose very carefully). Most patients wish to achieve enough of a reduction to help with their symptoms while remaining proportionate with the remainder of their torso. With the goal of improving communication with my patients I find the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) very helpful. I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or “C or D cup” means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Best wishes with your breast reduction procedure; hopefully you will be very pleased with the outcome of the procedure performed.

I am so sorry you are suffering with this complication. I'm not sure how to rate your problem. It appears your nipple has been lost almost completely and you have some necrotic tissue which needs to be removed. Santyl can frequently help, but as a surgeon I would recommend debridement. S...

I generally recommend patients wait until at least 6 MONTHS after finishing breast feeding and when they are back down to near their pre-pregnancy weight before they undergo breast reduction. Otherwise, they run the risk of over-reduction and ending up smaller than they want to be. So I th...
Thanks for your question but my experience with Medical and Medicare is that they rarely will cover this procedure. You can try but you will need to go through a lot of hoops to prove you really need it even with conventional insurance.
Trusha,Thanks for the question. A photo sometimes answers many of my questions. It is very common for women to have unwanted tissue in their axill/lateral breasts. it may be either fattty or breast tissue or a combination of both.Either way, I liposuction the tissue routinely using a small s...
