Breast reduction is the perfect operation for you because it will provide you with the relief of the excess weight that you're handling due to your breasts and it will also improve the aesthetic appearance of your breast. I highly recommend that you see if you board-certified plastic surgeon's so you can get multiple opinions on what your options are. I think you will be very happy if you have this operation because it will improve your quality of life and activities of daily living.
It is important to seek a Board Certified plastic surgeon in your area to determine if you are a great candidate for a breast reduction. The doctor needs to both evaluate your tissue and check your health history for the final answer.

Thank you for the question Mslove123,hope all is well with you, breast reduction is designed to improve the appearance and symptoms of overly large breasts by reducing their size and reshaping them. The surgery is specifically designed to relieve symptoms of pain and discomfort in the breasts, shoulders, neck and upper back. Based on your description, you may be a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person, for an official recommendation. Make sure you go with a board certified plastic surgeon, good luck on your transformation!
Thank you for the question. Based on your description, you may be a good candidate for breast reduction surgery. “Official” recommendations of course would necessitate in-person consultation.Breast reduction surgery is one of the most patient pleasing operations we perform. By removing “excess” breast tissue, adipose tissue, and breast skin this operation reduces AND lifts the breasts to a higher position on the chest wall (in other words, the breasts are "automatically" lifted when a breast reduction is performed). By doing so, patients often find improvement in neck, back, and shoulder discomfort and find it easier to form their activities of daily living and exercise.Timing of the operation will depend on the patient's life circumstances. When the time is right, seek consultation with well-trained/experienced board-certified plastic surgeons. Ask to see lots of examples of their work and communicate your goals clearly. Best NOT to communicate your goals in terms of achieving a specific cup size; this type of communication can be a source of miscommunication. In my practice, I prefer the use's of goal pictures during this communication phase; many patients wish to remove enough breast tissue to improve/alleviate symptoms while maintaining upper/lower body proportionality.I hope this, and the attached link (dedicated to breast reduction surgery concerns), helps.
Thank you for the question and the simple answer is yes if you are in good health. So go on some consults and be evaluated by experts in your area.Dr. Corbin
Most but not all patients your size suffer from neck back and shoulder pain related to the size and pendulousness of their breasts. The average patient seeking breast reduction surgery is a double D cup and sincere even larger I would expect you to have a significant improvement in symptoms and appearance from surgery. My best advice is to recommend that you meet with an ABPS board-certified plastic surgeon to discuss options and review photographs of other patients both before and after their surgery. Good luck and be certain to be at a healthy weight, not smoking and off of blood thinning medications before proceeding. If you are over 40 you should also have a preoperative mammogram.Best regards.Jon A Perlman M.D., FACSDiplomate, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society for Aesthetic PlasticSurgery (ASAPS)Beverly Hills, California
I generally recommend patients wait until at least 6 MONTHS after finishing breast feeding and when they are back down to near their pre-pregnancy weight before they undergo breast reduction. Otherwise, they run the risk of over-reduction and ending up smaller than they want to be. So I th...
Thanks for your question but my experience with Medical and Medicare is that they rarely will cover this procedure. You can try but you will need to go through a lot of hoops to prove you really need it even with conventional insurance.
