Does my donor area looks over harvested after my FUE 4 months ago? (Photos)

Your donor area will always look "thinner" proportionate to the number of hairs taken out after a FUE harvesting surgery.  The hairs will NOT grow back from the donor area (where it was taken). If it all goes to plan the donor hairs will grow in the area it was transplanted.If your donor area appearance bothers you, speak to your doctor about Scalp Micropigmentation to conceal the see-through appearance.

One of the benefits of FUE is the ability to extract grafts from the entire donor area. When the extractions are only performed in patches in the back of the scalp, this removes this benefit and leads to over harvesting. Your options at this point are to grow your hair longer to cover the area, or to resign yourself to SMP to help disguise the donor area.

Hi, How are you? FUE and FUT are  both NOT SCARLESS procedures. However, the FUE does provide you with a different type of scarring which is pin point scarring. If you shave your head to a 0 you will see tiny dots. However, It is not a strip procedure with a  linear incision. Again the places where the DR extracted will not grow back and that is why we do not suggest over harvesting. That is not good for yourself or the grafted area. Sorry to hear although I would reach out to your DR and tell him about your concerns. 

Hi there, it would be interesting to know how many grafts your surgeon has taken from the back of your head. At 4 months i would expect your donor zone to have fully recovered and the see-through effect you have is likely due to over-harvesting.

What you see is what you are going to end up with.  I think that with long hair, it will cover the FUE area, but you could fill it in with Scalp Micropigmentation if it bothers you.
